X Games - Summer 2023

The X Games returned to Southern California in 2023, and welcomed back fans for the first time since 2019.

The event was a full linear viewership airing across the networks of ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, with live streaming on YouTube and Twitch. Gameday was tasked with building out the complete design system, starting with the event logo, developing a full marketing campaign design, and complete the system with the show graphics airing throughout the broadcast.

The bespoke interactive content totaled 4million+ views, a 427% increase from 2022, and total viewership increased globally by 83%.

The X Games athletes took center stage for the event with campaign posters developed for print and used throughout areas of Ventura Fairgrounds.

Sponsorships

On-air sponsor integrations were created for the broadcast. These custom elements help transition the show through segments as well as gives X Games’ important partners ownership of their ad-space.

Banners were created for internal usage for emails, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch.
